Video Description:  

This video is of a 1-hour lecture demonstration given at an Alexander Technique Teacher training course in London, UK. The series of demonstrations in this session form the basis for understanding the principles of balance and support. David also highlights at each stage the importance of the sensory experiences that we need to get in touch with to be able to use ourselves well.

This video forms a great teaching resource with its pointers for teachers about how to be aware of their pupil's balance and support, how to build the experiences of balance and support into each lesson. Play it for pupils (or allow them to borrow it), or, better still, incorporate what David shows into your own teaching to your pupils.
