Eillen Sellam

Eillen comes to teaching the LearningMethods work from a background in dance, music and the Alexander Technique. She completed her training as an Alexander Teacher in France and the United States. Over the years, her work has been enriched by her encounters with many teachers and by her experiences in dance, singing, and martial arts.
Up to 1996 Eillen maintained a private teaching practice and worked with singers of the École de Formation Lyrique de l'Opéra Bastille in Paris, but inspired by her experiences with the LearningMethods work outlined in her articles, she changed her direction to become a teacher of the LearningMethods work. She taught regularly at the Conservatoire de Théâtre in Avignon, in Paris and Stockholm and now, having moved to Canada, she is building up her work there.
In between the demanding job of raising a young son, Eillen also gives workshops
and sessions in LearningMethods and Improvisational Creativity.

A suivit une formation comme professeur de la Méthode Alexander en France et aux États-Unis. Après avoir enseigné cette Méthode notamment pendant deux ans aux chanteurs de l'école de Formation Lyrique de l'Opéra Bastille à Paris, elle a connu LearningMethods et s’y est formée. Au fil des années, son travail s’est enrichi par sa rencontre avec de nombreux enseignants et son expérience dans des activités artistiques, la danse, le chant et les arts martiaux.
Depuis décembre 1996, elle a étudié et développé sa capacité à enseigner la démarche de LearningMethods. Elle a enseigné régulièrement à Paris, dans le sud de la France au Conservatoire de Théâtre à Avignon et dans de nombreux pays d’Europe dont la Scandinavie. Elle souhaite développer son activité dans son nouveau pays, le Canada. Inspirée par ses diverses expériences, elle a mit au point des cours et des stages d’improvisation vocale et corporelle qu’elle a enseigné en Europe et maintenant au Canada.
