Eillen Sellam
Eillen comes to teaching the LearningMethods work from a background in dance, music and the Alexander Technique. She completed her training in 1992 as an Alexander Teacher in France and the United States. Over the years, her work has been enriched by her encounters with many teachers and by her experiences in dance, singing, and martial arts. Eillen worked with singers of the École de Formation Lyrique de l'Opéra Bastille in Paris and maintained a private Alexander teaching practice. In 1996 when she encountered the LearningMethods work of David Gorman she was inspired to become a teacher of this approach and went on to specialize in giving workshops for performers in Theatre and Music schools in Europe. From her base in the south of France, she also taught regularly at the Conservatoire de Théâtre in Avignon. Eillen’s background in dance and singing has given her keen insights into the challenges and demands of performing. From her experience and knowledge she developed her “Awaken Your Creativity” voice and movement improvisation workshops to help others discover the richness and fun of their own creative potential. In between the demanding job of raising a young son, Eillen is running classes and workshops in LearningMethods and Improvisational Creativity as well as giving private classes.
Eillen a suivi une formation comme professeur de la Méthode Alexander en France et aux États-Unis. Depuis 1992, elle a développé sa propre clientèle à Paris et a enseigné cette Méthode dans des institutions dont L'école de Formation Lyrique de l'Opéra Bastille à Paris. Au fil des années, son travail s’est enrichi de sa rencontre avec de nombreux enseignants et de son expérience en danse et en chant et de sa pratique des arts martiaux. En 1996 elle rencontre l’approche LearningMethods et décide de se former à cette démarche. Elle partage le processus qu’elle vit en utilisant LearningMethods pour certaines difficultés, vous pouvez lire ses témoignages dans ses articles. Sensible au milieu artistique dont elle connaît bien les challenges, Eillen développe son enseignement dans ce milieu. Elle a enseigné régulièrement à Paris, dans le sud de la France dans plusieurs écoles de musique et au Conservatoire de Théâtre à Avignon. Elle a donné régulièrement des stages dans plusieurs villes en Europe, surtout à Stockholm et Oslo en Scandinavie. Aujourd’hui, elle souhaite développer son activité dans son nouveau pays, le Canada. Inspirée par ses diverses expériences personnelles et professionnelles, elle a mis au point des cours et des stages d’improvisation vocale et corporelle intitulés "Awaken Your Creativity" qu’elle a enseigné en Europe. Ces cours permettent par des jeux d’improvisation de s’amuser à découvrir et à stimuler notre potentiel créatif. L’improvisation est un bon moyen d’élargir ses capacités vocales et corporelles sans y réfléchir ! |
